One of the nice things about living in UAE, is that there are plenty of places to visit and see. Of course, there are more places to see if you have the money to burn, but even for the averagely earning people like us, there is plenty to enjoy.
One of my favourite places to visit is the Global Village in Dubai.
Here you can sample the cuisines and cultures from countries all around the world. There are pavilions that host items from each country – including food, clothing, entertainment, traditional instruments and many more.
Within a few short hours, you can go to China, India, the Middle East, Russia, Eastern Europe, the Americas, and Africa. It’s a unique destination to enjoy shopping, dining and entertainment (there is a carnival/amusement park there, with a Ferris wheel, rides, and so much more). It also offers a wide range of events, shows and activities every year in the open-air stage as well as at each country’s pavilion.
This is a seasonal destination, that is open every year between November and April (the cooler months in UAE). The ticket prices is quite cheap, 15 AED per person. Global Village is open 7 days a week, from 4 pm to 12 am on Saturdays to Wednesdays, and 4 pm to 1 am on Thursdays, Fridays and public holidays.
